New Tax Law Passed: Here’s What We’re Celebrating

GOOD NEWS TIME!!!🎉🎉

While headlines about the new U.S. tax and spending bill are filled with controversy, here’s the truth: not everything about this legislation is bad news.

Yes, there are real concerns to be aware of—but there are also powerful provisions that could bring meaningful relief to everyday families, business owners, and retirees. And that’s what I want to highlight for you today.

Here are a few highlights worth celebrating:

✅ Major Tax Breaks Preserved & Expanded:
Roughly $4.5 trillion in tax cuts are on the table. Existing tax rates will be made permanent, and new deductions—including one for tips, overtime pay, and auto loan interest—are being introduced.

✅ Support for Seniors & Parents:
There’s a proposed $6,000 deduction for older adults earning under $75K and an increase in the Child Tax Credit to $2,200—easing financial burdens for working families.

✅ Small Business Boosts:
Businesses would be able to immediately write off 100% of equipment and research investments—a game-changer for entrepreneurs investing in growth.

Now, I won’t sugarcoat the entire package—there are concerns, especially around cuts to Medicaid, SNAP, and clean energy incentives.

And it’s important to keep watch on how some of these changes unfold in the coming months.

But as your advisor, I see opportunity in the midst of change. From new tax strategies to expanded planning options for families and retirees, this bill introduces important levers we can use to support your financial goals.
