Help & Relief Options for Furloughed Workers

I wanted to take a moment to share some important information that could really help if you or someone you know has been impacted by the recent government shutdown.

Local organizations and utility companies across the D.C. region have stepped up to offer support programs for furloughed federal employees, including:

✔️ Free food distribution sites across Maryland, D.C., and Virginia
✔️ Utility payment relief from Pepco, BGE, WSSC Water, and Washington Gas
✔️ Financial assistance and 0% loans from credit unions such as Navy Federal, PenFed, and USAA

These programs are designed to ease the burden while paychecks are delayed and ensure that you and your family continue to have access to essential services.
