Hello friends,

Community Showed Up in a BIG Way!

This is what happens when community, generosity, and purpose come together.

We’re celebrating an incredible milestone for She’s WELL Networked, which raised $35,000 through CLLCTIVLY’s #CLLCTIVGIVE campaign!

This moment is about so much more than the dollars raised. It’s a beautiful reminder of what’s possible when people believe in a vision, give with a spirit of abundance, and intentionally support Black women entrepreneurs.

A heartfelt thank you to CLLCTIVLY for creating a platform rooted in communal abundance and for continuing to believe in the power of community. And a special congratulations to the Board of She’s WELL Networked and every donor, supporter, advocate, and cheerleader who helped make this possible.

As their founder Nakeia Drummond so beautifully shared, “This $35K might as well be $3.5 million because I could not be any more grateful.”

We love sharing GOOD NEWS like this, because when one of us wins, it reminds all of us what can happen when community shows up.

Here’s to greater impact, greater opportunity, and greater abundance!

🚨 A Quick Update From Me

As I shared last week, we’re in a season of transition and growth at Good News Financial as we work to fill an expanded operations role following Lisseth’s departure after three years with our team.

And I’ll admit, I’m quickly realizing just how much she managed behind the scenes! Trying to keep up with those responsibilities while continuing to serve our clients and manage everything else has been a little more than one person can reasonably carry.

So, for the time being, our newsletter will move from weekly to bi-weekly until we have our new operations team member in place.

Some of you may have also noticed that our regular Market Update emails have been on pause. I’m hoping to resume those as well, but their frequency may vary depending on my capacity during this transition.

Thank you for extending a little extra grace to us as we work to get our communications back to their normal rhythm.

The GOOD NEWS is that we’re making progress with our search! Thank you to everyone who has applied, shared the opportunity with someone in your network, or simply reached out with words of encouragement. Your support during this transition has meant more to me than you know.

We’re growing, adjusting, and building the infrastructure we need for this next chapter—and I’m excited about what’s ahead.

Thank you for continuing to grow with us.

In a world filled with negative headlines about economic struggles and market volatility, we focus on the positive aspects shaping our financial landscape.

"Money Motives" aims to change the narrative with fresh perspectives on money and investments.

Tune in every Wednesday for a new installment of Good News from the World of Finances. Grab your pen and notepad, and join us for some financial inspiration!

Roth Conversions in 2026: The Smartest Move Before the IRMAA Look

As the financial landscape evolves in 2026, many pre-retirees between the ages of 60 and 65 are discovering that timing is the most critical component of a successful retirement strategy. With the implementation of new tax codes and shifts in Medicare premium structures, the decisions made today regarding retirement account conversions can have lasting impacts on long-term net income.

The Simple Habit That Makes You a Better Leader (and Parent)

New research out of Arizona State University found something surprising: your sleep, exercise, and nutrition don't just affect your health — they shape how patient, empathetic, and present you are with the people you love.

A tired parent is a less patient parent. A sleep-deprived leader is a more reactive leader. The fix isn't a dramatic overhaul — it's small, consistent routines. Think one shared family meal a week, a consistent bedtime, a short evening wind-down.

As the researchers put it: "A small change in direction today may not seem important in the moment, but over weeks and months, it can lead to a very different destination."

Well thats it for this week, hope you found something valuable in this newsletter. Please share your Good News or anything you’d like me to include in our upcoming newsletter.

Please share with a friend and if you have any questions or comments just reply to this, it comes straight to me:-)

Have a blessed week till next time....

Kind Regards,
